Re: App rejected because of Address Book API?
Thanks for your suggestion, jessamy99. I had an app rejected because it asked for your email. Maybe you are doing something similar? You could be right, though if I did this, it was unintentional. I reported the issue to LiveCode Quality Control Center: ========= Bug 12605 - iOS app rejected due to ...

Re: My first commercial LiveCode app
Congratulations! Thanks, Simon! What was the solution to the Address Book issue you had? I don't know. It just went through. Maybe I had previously forgotten to tick a box in the iTunes form. Or, it could be connected to the fact that I used a slightly later stable build of LiveCode, the one curren...

My first commercial LiveCode app
Not sure if we are allowed to do product placement in this forum, but I've just had (June 20th) my first app, "Sounds IELTS", accepted by the App Store on iTunes, and I am still walking on air, so to speak. Whoo-hoo! :D It's an iPhone/iPad/iPod touch app for English language learners. I'm ashamed to...

App rejected because of Address Book API?
Hi Just got an email from Apple's App Review team. They have rejected my app because it "does not fully utilise [Apple's Address Book] API that is included in the app code". I never included any a line of code about the Address Book. Anyone heard of this occurring before? Binary Rejected, Apple Jun ...

Great video tutorial on submitting iOS apps to App Store
If you are still quite new to submitting iOS apps, as I am, the video tutorial "iOS Developer Setup" by RunRev Ltd, only 13 minutes, takes you step by step through the process of submitting an iOS app to Apple's App Store. iOS Developer Setup RunRev Ltd http://youtu.be/Lyn_K_GUKUs It worked brillian...

Re: Application Loader ITMS-9000 errors UPDATE
here's a step-by-step description of what I did to modify a copy of LC 6.6.1 Dear CALL-151 (and Dave and others on this thread) Thank you so much for your great work in puzzling out what was wrong. There are so many variables that I had almost lost heart. Your workaround was all I needed. After rea...

Re: mobilePlaySoundOnChannel not working on iPhone 5S iOS 7.
Hi Dave ...could you let us know here what they said what would be peachy! Sorry for the delay. It was a bug and it has been fixed. They asked me to test LiveCode 6.7 DP2 or 7.0 DP2. I tested 6.7.0 DP2 and it was sorted. I'm not running 6.7.0 DP3 and it is fine. More information: LiveCode Quality Co...

Re: mobilePlaySoundOnChannel not working on iPhone 5S iOS 7.
Hi Dave When you wrote "Xcode 5.5.1" I'm assuming you meant "Xcode 5.1.1" Yes, sorry, Xcode 5.1.1. that is a pretty recent update from Apple and I'm wondering if RunRev is fully compatible with it - maybe worth asking them to confirm this? I'm currently on Xcode 5.1 and have been holding back from u...

Re: mobilePlaySoundOnChannel not working on iPhone 5S iOS 7.
Investigating further, I find, in the iOS Simulator, if I set the Applications Settings build not to iOS 7.1 but to iOS 7.0.3, then the app loads correctly in 64-bit mode, and plays audio! However, building the app in 7.1, 7.0.3, or 6.1 and loading it onto my iPhone 5S (iOS 7.1), I can't get the aud...

mobilePlaySoundOnChannel not working on iPhone 5S iOS 7.1
I'm having a release-blocking problem with mobilePlaySoundOnChannel on iPhone 5S in iOS 7.1. Audio doesn't play. Here's the kind of code I'm using: on mouseUp put (specialFolderPath("engine") & "/sounds/whistle_02.au") into tPath put "whistle_02" into tChannelName put "now" into tType mobilePlaySoun...
