Re: Livecode-HTML mode for Coda (Updated)

Got it! I have just updated to v.2 of Coda (a week ago). Lots of new stuff there, so I'm looking into the new file format too. I'll post here if I have any success with this - and if not too :)
I'm sure this should be possible without too much effort. Hang in there..

Re: "start session" throws an error

LC 5.01 is still a developer release. a) this isn't the place to discuss it. b) there's no server build afaict. c) there's no reason to expect to see 5.x features in a 4.x product. We are not really «discussing» it. I just got a little confused over the release/versions as I saw that the first serv...

"start session" throws an error

The new set of commands regardig session management released with Livecode 5.0.1 seams to not work with server 4.6.4 (latest). start session and stop session throws error as "bad action" and "bad statement". start using session however, works - but that is not the syntax referensed in the dictonary ...

Livecode-HTML mode for Coda (Updated)

Now you can use the best text Editor out there, Coda - to code your Livecode server. We have made a Mode for Coda (Mac only :( -sorry), for those using this amazing software to code web-applications in HTML and Livecode for the Livecode server. For those who knows the PHP-HTML mode buildt into Coda...

Re: iOS scrolling text field. How?

The MobGUI-plugin has a native scroller for drag and drop. Works nice, BUT as with this solution, dont work well when set to behave as an background. The scroll function just die when you access a card a second time (like go previous card). Tried for a week to make it work. It won't. Ready to join t...

Re: Dictonary died with OSX 10.6.8 ?

This weird thing did not affect my older Livecode 4.6.2 where all behaved normal.
I fixed the problem for Livecode 4.6.3 by reinstalling the package.

Dictonary died with OSX 10.6.8 ?

After updating OSX from 10.6.7 to 10.6.8 it seams the Dictonary just died and is no longer accessible.
I get the dictonary up in its window (after clicking its icon twice), but thats all. No search field and no content. All gone.
Anyone experienced a similar problem after updating OSX to 10.6.8 ?

Re: Livecode-server: Premature end of script-error

Uh, turned out that the installation described in the doc is just fine. Premature end of script-error was caused by a file permission setting on the livecode-server engine. Set file permission to 755 for the livecode-server engine (and the two folders). I used Fetch to install this, so that might ha...

Livecode-server: Premature end of script-error

Just tried to install the new release of the livecode server (not revserver) and keep getting this error: Error message: Premature end of script headers: livecode-server I assume it is a problem related to the setup in httpd.conf of Apache2. The doc is among other refering to directories that dont e...

Re: RevServer deployment on OSX Server

Tnx for those guides. I just installed the revserver on a Mac Mini with OSX Server 10.6.7 (Snow Leopard) and all works just fine. That is; I didn't get the "semi-automatic" setup with the Server Admin to work, but when I went for the manual setup it all fell into place. I didn't even have to drule w...

Re: Web Demo

Ok, now it's clearer. Forget the web plugin. As for LiveCode Server, now we're talking... Yes it's true, this product is still in "alpha" stage.... However, it's working.... and pretty well from my point of view. I use it in 2 forms : -an account on On Rev (my with MySQL) -an installation on a VPS ...

Re: Web Demo

You mean : using the "web plugin" of LiveCode or using LiveCode server ? I was looking at this guy's request as I'm in that position my selfe. I'm twisting my thumbs and evaluating Livecode for a major site trading with digital goods like 3d models and such resources. So fare the project has been o...
