Thanks, Klaus!
Just out of curiosity, what do an image object's "Text Formatting" settings do, given that they can't be labeled?
Cheers,
John

"Show Name" property for image objects?
Hello - I was wondering if there was a way to show the name (or some other text label) when using image objects? I see that buttons and graphic objects both have "Show name" as a settable properly, but not images. I do see that images have a bunch of settings dedicated to "Text Formatting" in the In...

Re: Is there a gallery of Apps completed with Livecode?
Actually, that's a really good question - Is there a gallery of apps completed with Livecode?
I know that Unity has a "Made With Unity" gallery, and I was just thinking that it would be both interesting and fun to see what other developers have produced using Livecode.
Cheers,
John

Re: iOS6 / iPhone5 app crashes
Hi, Guglielmo - Ok, I think I got it to work! Thanks for pointing out the various iPhone setting in the Simulator. (I was looking for a way to change the settings in LC :P) The strange part is that I am still getting this error, even though the app does eventually launch on the iOS6/4-inch Simulator...

Re: iOS6 / iPhone5 app crashes
Hi, Guglielmo - Thanks for the info on ARMv7 builds, and for the link to the article. Interesting read! When I resubmit, I think I'll be going with ARMv7 instead of "Universal". BTW, I installed Xcode 4.5.2 today and made sure that my LC 5.5.3 was still pointing to it in the mobile support preferenc...

Re: iOS6 / iPhone5 app crashes
Sounds great, Jacque and Guglielmo - I'll go ahead and download 4.5.2 and give that a try. While I'm waiting for the download, I will also try Jacque's combo with LC 5.5.3 (just not sure of the best way to test it w/o an iPhone5). Just one more question - is there any harm in keeping the standalone ...

Re: iOS6 / iPhone5 app crashes
Hi, Guglielmo - Thanks for your quick reply! I have Xcode 4.4.1 installed, but not 4.5.1 (only 4.5). It sound like I should go ahead and install either 4.5.1 or 4.5.2, though. Would you happen to know which is more stable and/or the better choice? Also, when you say veeeery old devices ;) do you mea...

iOS6 / iPhone5 app crashes
Hi, Everyone - A few days ago, I was very excited to learn that Apple accepted my first app on to the app store. After months of development, testing, and generous help from these message boards, it was very satisfying to finally have it out in the world. However.... I am now receiving reports that ...

iOS executable permissions
Thought I'd break this issue into its own thread... By following some helpful suggestions on other iOS6 threads, I have been able to get my app to build as a standalone application while running LC 5.5.1, XCode 4.5, and iOS6. However, my app throws this error when I attempt to copy it on to my physi...

Re: iOS 6
Call-151, Thanks for the instructions & pointers on obtaining and installing earlier components of Xcode. I found both to be very helpful. I was able to get my app to build as a standalone by following your instructions. I'm still having trouble copying the build to my physical iPad, though, as I'm ...

Re: iOS 6
Call-151, Have you gotten your app to launch on a physical iPad? When I tried to do this, XCode complained that I needed to upgrade to XCode 4.5. After the upgrade, I found that while LC 5.5.1 could launch my app in the iOS6 simulator, it will not build a standalone that I could launch on my physica...

Re: How to setup Xcode 4.5 to work with LC 5.5.1/5.5.2
I'll second what Steve said - pointing directly to the app file did not work for me, either - at least in LC 5.5.1.
Adrian, are you using (and maybe having better luck with) LC 5.5.2?
Thank you,

Hi, Steve -
Glad you let RunRev know directly. And yes - I forgot to mention that I'm also running XCode 4.5 (from the App Store).

Re: IOS 6
Hi, Steve - Yes - I just upgraded to iOS6, and am running Livecode 5.5.1. I can get my app to run in the simulator, but it will no longer build a standalone application file. (This was all working just fine before I did the iOS upgrade - a decision I am now regretting...) When I attempt to build a s...
