Re: iOS Simulator 6.0 issue
Bernd, Thank you for the response. I followed the steps you posted, then went back and set the iOS settings, and same result - "Unable to start simulation: iOS Simulator failed to install the application." Any other ideas? I have a stack with literally nothing in it that won't open in the simulator,...

iOS Simulator 6.0 issue
I have three stacks I made last year. One of them opens in the iOS Simulator 6.0 just fine. The other two don't. I can make a brand new stack and it opens in the simulator 6.0 just fine. So I took a stack that wouldn't open, I removed everything. Nothing left in the stack but an empty card 1. I set ...

Re: Livecode book 60% off until 30th Nov 2012
I bought that LiveCode book about mobile development - got the Kindle version and put it on my iPad 3. That book kicks serious ass. If you are a hardcore expert LiveCode programmer with a dozen apps in the app store, you might not need it. But for beginners or intermediate users, I strongly recommen...

Determining Device
Quick question. On opening a stack, what is the best way to determine if LiveCode is running on an iPad 1, 2, or mini, iPad 3 or 4, iPhone 3GS, 4GS, or 5?

Re: Fruit Ninja?
I like the idea of setting the angle really quick. We're not doing fruit like they are, or 3d - we're doing more like a flash card or index card - that sort of thing. I was also thinking maybe I'd do a few variations on it, to cover a bunch of different angles. Thanks for the ideas - if I can get it...

Fruit Ninja?
OK, here's a bit of a long shot. Has anyone here seen the game Fruit Ninja for the iOS? In the game, there's an object on the screen, and you swipe your finger across the object like you were slicing it in half with a sword. And the object seperates into two pieces on your slash line and both pieces...

Re: iOS 5.1 SDKs
Hi, I'm on LiveCode 5.5 GM 2 and am having the same problems with it remembering any of my standalone settings. However a bigger issue is I cannot get it to recognise a new Provisioning Profile. In fact it is only allowing me to choose a profile that no longer exists (but did when I was using 5.0.x...

Re: iOS 5.1 SDKs
They just charged me the full $750 to upgrade to LiveCode Complete from having the current version of LiveCode for Mac/Windows/iOS. Maybe because I didn't have Linux, Server, and Android? I don't think the special upgrade price is integrated into the store, you need to ask for it. I think it involv...

Re: Xcode 4.3.1
Question - If one is still using LC 5 and Xcode 4.2, and one creates an app in LC 5 and submits it to Apple, will they accept it? Or are they now requiring something new and we have to wait for LC 5.5 to submit?

Re: iOS 5.1 SDKs
OR, here's something else they could do. If you put $500 in and bought LiveCode, they should let you pay the difference to bump up to LiveCode Complete. That's always been the case, and as far as I know it hasn't changed. Any time you want to upgrade you can pay the difference between your current ...

Re: iOS 5.1 SDKs
To CALL-151 My default path is set to the developer folder. Not sure why its is not accepting it...I will have to look at it tomorrow....got some green beer to drink right now...lol To richardmac I agree with pretty much everything you have said, and I appreciate your input on this...there are a co...

Re: iOS 5.1 SDKs
KennyR- Try setting the path in the mobile support preferences of LC to /Developer. It wants the root folder, not the full path to the SDKs. There should be a Developer folder in your boot drive (along with Applications, System, Users, etc). richardmac- I agree, but I prefer to think that the LiveC...

Re: iOS 5.1 SDKs
So is it possible then to just revert back to the previous version of X-code and get rid of the new SDK all together? I mean, what the heck? I would very much like to just test my applications in LC rather than dragging it over to Xcode. I had everything the way I liked it and now poof it's gone! I...
