Re: 1136x640 support
Another thing to remember when updating an app for iPhone 5 et al there are changed requirements for new screenshots: 640 x 1136 (portrait) 640 x 1096 (portrait) 1136 x 640 (landscape) 1136 x 600 (landscape) The app will not be reviewed until the new screenshots are to the new sizes, including local...

Re: Application Loader warning (recurrenceRule)
That is most helpful - will report back here on success with binary acceptance in due course.jacque wrote:Someone just reported on the mailing list that these errors don't cause the App Store to reject your app. So you're okay.

Re: Application Loader warning (recurrenceRule)
Dave I have had exactly the same Application Loader with updates of two Apps in the past few days. Like you the Apps were built with LC 5.5.1 but with Xcode 4.3.2. The same issue was flagged but the binary was uploaded fine. There have been no issues before (builds with LC 5.0.2) and certainly no ad...

Re: Xcode 4.3.1
Question - If one is still using LC 5 and Xcode 4.2, and one creates an app in LC 5 and submits it to Apple, will they accept it? Or are they now requiring something new and we have to wait for LC 5.5 to submit? We have a number of iPad Apps in the pipeline for review and, so far, there has been no...

Times for App Store Reviews
As many of you will already be aware, the time taken to review an iOS App varies. Obviously the number of Apps in the "Waiting for Review" queue will have an impact on this. We recently had a new App (using LC 5.0.1) for the iPad in the "Waiting for Review" queue but the time taken from "In Review" ...

Re: Flipping splashscreen. Another LC 5 issue?
Important Update The latest version of LiveCode 5.0.1 is available to download and all of the issues related with flipped screens on launch and exporting of images to the photo album and as attachments to emails have been resolved. Good news all round and this now means Apps can be submitted for re...

Re: Itunes Syncing Deleting Test Apps.
Dave The issues about the splash screen flipping are, as you clearly state, rather frustrating to say the least. It is clear that there is a problem as soon as an App is launched for testing and evaluation purposes although there have been some comments on this forum where Apps have been approved de...

Re: Flipping splashscreen. Another LC 5 issue?
After rebuilding a landscape-only app in LC 5, the splashscreen now flips upside down about half way through launch with the home button on the right, but not on the left. This wasn't happening in builds made with 4.6.4. Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions? This problem was certainly a b...

Re: Multitasking in iOS?
Gerry Many thanks for the feedback and comment. Trapping the shutdown request and saving variables is very useful on a re-start process to keep data between launches. But ... all I really wanted to do was to allow the user to multitask to another App and then, on return, continue where they left off...

Multitasking in iOS?
The multitasking feature in iOS is really useful but I have no success in trying to do this with a LiveCode App. Has anyone discovered a way to enable this within a LiveCode project? It seems that trying to do this via trapping shutdownRequest or suspend requests has no effect. I think there may be ...

Re: Scroller demo with dynamic resizing text field
John MobGUI is really useful and has many excellent features. :D Of all the features you include, the scroller has proved the more challenging to use at times, especially for dynamic content. However, this is a really useful demo and the coding makes a lot of sense when looking through. Trying to ge...

Re: RSS example breaks with other feeds
Just discovered this post. We had the same problem earlier this year with the tutorial. Delving into the XML feed format for the RSS content was the key for us. The solution proved straightforward in the end - replacing the "RDF" parameter in revXMLChildNames(tTreeID, "RDF", return, "item", true) wi...

Overcoming Application Loader Woes
Colleagues This post is about an issue we discovered and resolved with Application Loader 1.4.1 at the final stage of uploading an App to the Store (same problem whether this was an iOS App or a Mac OSX App process). You may recognise the scenario - the App is ready, has been extensively tested, the...
