Re: Unreadable Error Message

This is really a continuation of the problem I posted about previously of the text selection colour
being set by default to black; a setting that reverts at each restart even if the end-users sets it to
some other colour during a work session.

Re: Empty Dictionary

I tried the Dictionary again and found something very odd; if one searches for a word, regardless of what that word is, there is only an empty Dictionary.

If one then deletes that initial word the Dictionary fills up with terms and then works.

Empty Dictionary

This is really fascinating as the dictionary was working with 6.0.1 and 6.0.2 rc, but after 6.0.2 was installed all 3 of these versions dislay an empty dictionary.

Freezing IDE during script editing (6.0.2)

I have had the script editor lock up the IDE and the whole computer
a few times over the last few days. Once I could only solve matters with
a hard reboot of the machine.

Re: still looking for a good language reference guide

If you go through the Preferences option when you set up Livecode

Edit/Preferences and go to 'Script Editor' (fifth from the top) down the bottom

there's an option 'Comment using' and you can choose between -- , # and //

so no documentation needed on that one at least.

Trying to balance all the work you have to do now that you have the Kickstart funding with keeping the funders informed must be quite difficult.

It doesn't seem so.

Obviously you haven't been swinging through the Livecode jungle enough.

Re: LiveCode apps in the Ubuntu SOftware Centre

I've been using Livecode on Linux for about 8 years; starting with version 2.2.1.

Livecode is definitely a "Linux Beastie", and I love it.

Re: .livecode and .rev

Try this experiment: Make a stack and save it as X.rev, and then save it as Y.livecode. Quite Livecode. Restart Livecode and you should find that you have no trouble opening either of them. Now try opening the attached file (make sure that you set LIvecode to look for "All files"); you should have n...
