I was starting the example for doing server side CGIs. Here:
www(dot)hyperactivesw(dot)com/cgitutorial/scripts1(dot)html
I get an internal server error.
I thought on-rev would be configured with the server it needed... so I did not try to install it on on-rev. So does anyone know what the default path is to it so I can put that into the .cgi file?
Thanks.

Re: running CGI on on-rev servers
Hi fenick,
the tutorials at Hyperactive refer to the old CGI engine (Livecode <= 3.5) and does NOT apply to the new ON-REV server software!
Check these pages to get started with ON-REV server scripting:

I dont understand. Why would you try to install an old CGI system on OnRev (that has LiveCode Server installed) ?fenick wrote: I thought on-rev would be configured with the server it needed... so I did not try to install it on on-rev. If you have an account with OnRev, then you're fine. You can use LiveCode Server.
If you haven't an account with Onrev, then you have 2 choices :
-buy and install yourself LiveCode Server
-or use the old method of RunRev CGI.

Re: running CGI on on-rev servers
I'm new to runrev (use to play with Supercard in the 90's). So I did not know I was trying to get an older technology to work. When you search the internet for help, it seems it is the older way to do things that keeps coming up.
Glad to see the community is just as responsive as the supercard newsgroup use to be.
Thanks
