The file's last-accessed date in seconds

Post by keyless » Sat Apr 05, 2008 5:50 am

When I look at the detail files of a directory, The file's last-accessed date in seconds is always todays date.

I am using 2.8.1 on XP (can someone check in 2.9) and get the same results, The file's last-accessed date in seconds is todays date, yet when I right click on the file and choose properties I see a different Accessed date (which upon testing is the actual Accessed date)

shoot I was counting on this for a function, has anyone reported it as a bug?

Is there a workaround to get this info with shell maybe?

UPDATE:
Wait, now I'm seeing that all the files showing that they were accessed today. Oh maybe running the "put files" counts as Access? that stinks.

Hmm now it seems like that happens only with .lnk files (the file type I am trying to check last access on. Quite confusing. Uggg

UPDATE: I looked at last accessed of same files in explorer and it matches what rev pulled in.

I'm going to kick myself. I bet it is my virusscan that caused all this confusion.
