japanese text on Windows XP

Post by richmond62 » Sun Jul 28, 2013 2:05 pm

I just saw this:

Hi,

It works on Mac OS, But does not work on Windows.
go to url "http://kenjikojima.com/livecode/downloa ... y.livecode"

What's wrong?

Thanks,
--
Kenji Kojima / 小島健治
http://www.kenjikojima.com/

and downloaded Kenji's font. Now, he is completely correct re Windows.

I ran his stack in Windows XP; then I installed EPSON's FREE Japanese font in Windows XP and explicitly set his controls
via the Prefs palette to the first Epson Japanese font on the list.

The whole thing IS a bit odd as the final result does NOT produce the same characters as the original: perhaps because either Kenji or Epsomn are not
adhering to the Unicode convention.

The pictures are attached:

The really ODD thing is that either EPSON or Windows XP has rotated the Japanese characters anti-clockwise through 90 degrees.
