I am running Win 10 under Parallels 10 in OS X 10.10.4.
I was able to install LC 7.1 successfully, but I keep running into a problem with LC 6.7.6 or LC 6.7.7.
Either I get a message that I need Administrator privileges (all users or custom install), or after installing for a single user, it failed to create the LiveCode 6.7.7(rc2).lnk shortcut file and removes everything.
If I run the installer with Admin privileges from explorer, I still get the message that says I need admin privileges.
When I test in the troubleshooting mode with admin privileges, I get "Could not launch installer slave."
What's different between the 6.7 and 7.1 installers?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Having trouble installing LC 6.7.x in Win 10
Don't know if this would work, but try creating an additional local administrator account (without a Microsoft account) and then try to install LC 6.7.x while logged into that new administrator account. If it installs, then you can narrow down the cause to a problem with the user account you originally tried to install with.
