Installer Maker 1.8.0

Dear LiveCoders,

A new release of Installer Maker is now available. Installer Maker is an excellent tool for users of RAD tools, such as LiveCode, Real Basic and SuperCard. Installer Maker 1.8.0 is available both as a plug-in for LiveCode and as a standalone application.

This version of Installer Maker marks the end of the 1.7 series. In 1.8.x, we will fine-tune a small number of existing features, but most releases will introduce new, relatively complicated features. What is going to be included in Installer Maker in the future will be revealed as new versions are made available.

Installer Maker 1.8.0 contains a new Preferences pane, which contains 1 option and to which we will add more options later. We have made some changes to the way Read Me files are treated. Additionally, a few small interface and performance improvements have been applied. For more information, please refer to the website.

Note that the plug-in can only be used with the commercial edition of LiveCode. If you don't have a license for LiveCode, you are adviced to use the standalone edition of Installer Maker.

Hi,

A few people reported to be unable to create installers with the plug-in version of Installer Maker while using LiveCode 6.x. I believe to have solved this problem now. You can download the Installer Maker 1.8.1 at http://qery.us/42u (this is a plug-in only update).
