Setting up iOS on a Mac.
I'm trying to master creating mobile apps for iPad.
I have the PDF instructions for the iOS Deployment pack, I've tried to follow the steps carefully, however it gets a little abstract after working with the Apple certificates and developer resources, etc.
I am at the point of trying to deploy a test stack; I have recently updated the Xcode to 4.2, and the iPhone Simulator 4.2 shows up in my Mac System Profiler, but it does not show up in the simulator list in the revMobilePlugin.rev file.
I have a developers license and the certificates show up as validated, etc.
I did update the iPad to OS 4.2 after installing the initial resources.
I have created a couple of LiveCode test projects that show up in the simulator (3.2 and 4.1) and I can deploy them as Apps.
But when I try to add an App to my iPad in the Xcode Organizer I get the following error:
The executable was signed with invalid entitlements
The entitlements specified in your application’s Code Signing Entitlements file do not match those specified in your provisioning profile.
(0xE8008016).
Any thoughts on where I should begin to solve this? Is it a LiveCode thing, an Xcode thing? Not sure what to look for or change.

Do you specifically have an iOS developer certificate?

Hmmm... i just updated the iPad to 4.2 as well, and am able to install to the device via the Xcode Organizer.
My hunch tells me it's an Apple issue. I'm assuming you deployed with the mobile plugin using the Team Provisioning Profile associated with your certificate?
BTW... I used the iOS 3.2 and iPad options from the mobile plugin... seems to be working fine. I will test further.
Update us on your progress...

Re: Setting up iOS on a Mac.
Problem solved- I went back and deleted the certificates, etc. and started all over using a new ID name and the Provisioning Assistant on the iOS Provisioning Portal site (rather than the "LiveCode for iOS Deployment Pack" instructions).
Something must have been developed wrong, or in the wrong sequence, the first time.

Re: Setting up iOS on a Mac.
Great! Glad you got it working.
Re: Setting up iOS on a Mac.
Hi, I just started playing with the ios deployment. I took the Sheep Herder stack and successfully deployed to the emulator, BUT when I start the app there, it quits immediately with no error. Any pointers of what's going on? I also tried a very simple stack and the same happened.
Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.
