Hello everyone

I would like to use the Apple ClassKit Framework in an educational app I wrote in Livecode to show student progress in Schoolwork. Is this possible?

Thank you very much

Well, you would have to write a plug-in to use Apple's ClassKit framework in your LiveCode standalone, which might prove a lot of work.

It might be easier and more convenient to write routines inwith LiveCode to mimic the functionality of Apple's ClassKit framework.

Especially as "ClassKit is designed for educational organizations that use Apple School Manager and Managed Apple IDs."

Classkit is designed to be used in apps developed in xCode rather than LiveCode.

Sardus,

I assume you asking if it is "legal/ethical"? No?

Thank you for your feedback.

The iPad is probably the most used tablet in the education sector. In addition, Livecode is very well suited for developing learning apps. Therefore, there would be great added value if Livecode supported the Framework ClassKit (like GameKit does).

I hope the Livecode developers are aware of this.

I have been designing educational software for desktop computers for classroom use since 1993 with LiveCode and its ancestors and never needed any add-ons at all.
