Revolution vs Windev

Post by DaveLangley » Wed Apr 26, 2006 9:27 am

Has anyone compared Revolution with WinDev? I am very new to windows development and am looking at both products. I am really looking for a good tool for user interface development that has a good abilty to interface with databases. I also need to support hand-held applications.

RunRev does currently not run on, and is not able to develop for handhelds.

Right now there is no handheld deployment (ie running a native app on a handheld).

Does this create native executables or is it just a Java IDE?

Its over twice the cost of Revolution and supports fewer platforms - you can make Rev CGIs for free but you have an application server deployment license there around $700.
