Certainly vPaint is a lot easier at drawing freehand SVG 'wiggles' than Inkscape:

Well, on Mac I highly recommend Vectornator https://www.vectornator.io
It's free, full of great features, and you'll struggle to find a better vector image editor on Mac, especially for the price... but it is Mac-only.
I use this all the the time to create icons and SVGs, really can't recommend enough...

It should be.

Heartland of the Bogomils until the Catholic thought police moved in and burnt them alive.

Re Vectornator . . .

When I see specious and ultimately meaningless 'fluff' like this:
Vectornator empowers you to design anything you can imagine up to 30% faster.
I get all forfechit and jalouse at it.

Notwithstanding, I shall 'give it a whirl' on my Mac Mini and see what 'gives'.

Vpaint is cross-platform (if working on 3 operating systems really constitutes 'cross-platform').
