Meeting: 5 January in Pasadena

Post by FourthWorld » Wed Dec 28, 2011 9:20 pm

Barring any city-wide declarations of a state of emergency this time, we're all set for our next LiveCode User Group meeting:

Where:
Burger Continental, back room
535 S. Lake Avenue
Pasadena CA 91101
http://www.burgercontinentalpasadena.com/home.html

When:
Thursday, January 5
7:00PM

What:
Any and all LiveCode related discussion. Feel free to prepare a "lightning talk" if you like, a presentation between five and fifteen minutes on anything related to LiveCode. Bring a laptop, bring questions, bring problems you've been trying to solve that perhaps the group can help with, bring anything fun you've been working on that you want to share. And bring an appetite, because Burger Continental has a wide variety of good food.

Hope to see you there.

Worst?

Ah, my friend. I can show you a thousand violations of HI principles across the web's littered landscape of restaurant sites. The splash pages, the PDF menus, the sounds that play whether you want them or not, and of course the strange belief that it's not possible to make menus on a web site without Flash. ;)

Against all the stuff I find so often, at least with BC I can get to the menus and directions easily.

Many thanks to all who participated last night. Good conversation, and hopefully the beginnings of some new projects for the LiveCode community.

Great stuff, guys. Thanks for being there.

Looking forward to seeing y'all at the next meeting in February.
