Has ANYONE successfully deployed their LiveCode Android apps
to either the Google or Amazon marketplace yet?

Post links here.

Ask for feedback.
Maybe make some sales.

I'm curious on this too.
Until LC for Android can create the same type of applications that I can create with Java or Lua, I'll be using Java and Lua. I'd love to use LC, but LC for Android is not ready for prime time.

Here's the direct Market Place link to this app, which is called,
Read. It's a simple app, which allows the user to create,
little worded signs on their device.

By my count, this is the first LIveCode app in the Android Market.
(Well-- at least the first in this thread.)

If you think this is too simplistic, keep in mind that it's already gotten
1000 downloads in Apple's iOS market. At $1.99, that's a nice $2000 project.
And-- they're still selling. Read is brand new-- and only $1.39 on the Android.
More Sales are on the way!

I don't know about you, but I find this tremendously encouraging.
This Mobile market is just getting started-- and likely to see
exponential growth in the coming years. Learning LIveCode now,
is just being in the right place at the right time. (In my opinion.)

LOL.

Well that READ app is just an example of
"I don't have a clue about what app will sell!"

Why am I thinking TimeSheets, Accounting Packages, Sustainability Calculators, and save the univers type apps?

Is everyone writting apps?
And is it like the lotto. Just luck?
And is there enough to go around?

Well Good on 'em!

How long has it been selling?
Does he have to pay a percentage to the Android Market for each sale?
How long did it take him to write?
How many apps has this guy written and NOT sold?
How many other apps is this guy selling?
And how well are they doing?

And Most of all Where does this guy get his ideas?

It just hurts my head to think so small and simple.

LOL.
All my best,
Barry G. Sumpter
