Livecode 6.7 Ebook Academy Lesson 1

I have followed the lesson 1 instructions when I run the first stak I heard the sound but video is not playing.
I am running live Code on a 15" Retina MacBookPro
Any thoughts what the reason could be ?

Hi Hans,

LiveCode 6.7 is in DP status and this could mean that there are some underlying bugs causing the no video issue. Please revert to a stable version of LiveCode and try your stack again-

Although 6.6.1 is the latest stable version, I note that you are running LiveCode on a retina Mac. LiveCode 6.6.1 has some HIDPI graphics changes that means LiveCodes performance will be sub-par on HiDPI displays (such as a retina mac). We are aware of this and are currently working on various optimizations.

As this is the case, I would recommend the installation of LiveCode 6.5.2

- I have been trying with 6.5.2 here the problem is that I can not select the iPhone Platform, it will not accept my link to select xCode
- 6.6.1 stable version the sound works the video is distorted....

This is my first tutorial and none of the versions is working correctly. Am I suposed to buy a new computer (none Retina)?

Would be great if there was fix...

The video issue that you have mentioned is in our Qulaity Control database, so we will be looking to rectify this ASAP. More information on this issue can be found on the report here-

As Xcode 5.1 is not compatible with LiveCode 6.5.2, you will need to download a previous revision via the Apple Developer Portal or 3rd Party source. The last compatible version of Xcode for LiveCode 6.5.2 is Xcode 5.0.2

I have just tried with latest version and the bug is still here! Is there any news on that? Could someone post the complete ebook so I can try and see if I made a error.
