manual hilite of dg row

Evening people
Could someone enlighten me as to the following:-
The auto-hilite option for the datagrid makes it a bit tricky to scroll up and down on an android phone, so I unchecked it with the intention of doing it manually. But I can't find the syntax anywhere.
The idea is to change the hilite to mouse double up.
I presumed something like - set the dghilitedline of me to true (in the row template) but it doesn't seem to work.
Any help, much appreciated.
