chartsengine LC 8.1.2 Linux 64 standalone
Does chartsengine work using LC 8.1.2 saved as Linux 64 standalone? I can't get it to work in CentOS.

Re: chartsengine LC 8.1.2 Linux 64 standalone
Hi Greg
I did answer your email, but maybe it landet in your spam folder? Here's my answer:
I guess it's worth noting that I haven't tested chartsengine on linux. however it's using nothing that is not within LiveCode, so it'd surprise me if it won't work on any linux distro where LC runs.
In the documentation for ChartsEngine, you can see that you need to do certain steps for it to work in standalones (page 5 in the pdf). Have you followed them?
To use the standalone builder, klick on "stacks" first, then on "Add stack File..." and locate chartsEngine on your Harddisk.
Also make sure that before using chartsEngine in the standalone, issue the start using command (for example in an openstack handler of your project):
start using stack "chartsengine"
If that is not the problem, have you been successful in making ChartsEngine work in standalones on other platforms? Since ChartsEngine is a password protected stack, it won't work in the Community version of LC, or in standalones made with that version. Maybe you're running the community version accidentally?
I hope this helps you in getting it running!
cheers
Björnke

Thank you for your reply Björnke. I regenerated my standalone for Linux, but this time specified Chartsengine as an included stack in standalone settings. And it worked.
