Webinar Questions
Hi Everyone,
If you are attending the webinars on Wednesday, it would be great if you could ask any potential queries/questions that you would like to see discussed here (or within a new topic)
This just allows us to prepare any answers/examples prior to the webinar, which will result in smoother and better quality webinar.
Kind Regards,
Neil Roger

Re: Webinar Questions
Hi Neil. I have made the ebook tutorial on the academy. Also i have been looking the lessons and have made the LCU. But im still struggling with this:
I want that an image after is selected by the finger pops a little "window" (with a subtle animation) with the characteristics and a smaller image (but it never leaves the original image) and if it is chosen that feed a local document in the app that can be consulted later.
Hope it can be covered in the webminar.
Thanks

Re: Webinar Questions
Hi Nelson,
Thank you for your question.
I have created a sample stack which explains one way to do this. I will discuss it in todays webinar.

Webinar Discussions
I see the contents of preious webinars held are posted in this section (idea2Apps) of the forum. When can we expect the info/tutorials or samples of January 2014 and the 2 sessions in February 2014 to be posted here.
I asked two questions:
1) streaming an internet radio on Android. The session example build a app for 3 radios which was excellent;
2) "fracments" / panel A and panel B which was dealt with last night (12 February 2014);
As a participant in the webinars it is difficult to take notes while concentrating to listen sometimes on a poor quality connection and also to listen to the webinars later to grasp the explanations.
Hope you understand
Steve

Neil,
Thanks a million for your prompt reply. I still maintain that Runrev is blowing me over with the customer service aspect. Great and simply beyond expectations.

Questions for tomorrow's webinar
I have 3 follow up questions regarding the Radio Streaming App discussed Feb 05, 2014.
1. Does the command "createPlayer" (for playing audio in an app) create the player automatically/dynamically? I've got a radio stream playing in my created app, but I want to understand whether it is created by the code dynamically or not.
2. The stream stops when the app closes. Another radio station (call it Radio B) I listened to the radio keeps on playing even when I close it to open another app on my phone. Radio B only closes when I deliberately exits the app. How can I achieve this?
3. In the example the radio only starts buffering and playing the stream when I push the "on/Off" button. How do I make the radio start streaming automatically when the app opens and has buffered for a few seconds?
Looking forward to tomorrow's session.
Regards
Steve

Re: Webinar Questions
Can you please show how to allow a mobile user to record (voice) and attach it to an email? Thank you.
Overflow Menu Attempt
Attached are my zip files as promised during the Webinar earlier this evening (05 March 2014). I hope my step-by-step manual is still valid in relation to the stack as I made changes to things I experimented with and may have forgotten to keep the "Manual" up to date.
Hope you can do something with it to help me and other LiveCode "rookies" like me.
Steve
